Seasonal contract vs. per-push snow removal: which is right for you?
This is the question most property managers ask us first, and it's the right one. The two pricing models suit different priorities, and picking the wrong one just means you overpay in a way you didn't expect.
Seasonal contract: predictable, hands-off
You pay a set monthly fee across the winter and we handle everything, however much it snows. The fee covers the fixed costs of being ready — insured, equipped, and on call — even in a quiet month.
This is the right call if you want one number you can budget around and never want to think about it. In a heavy winter, you effectively come out ahead.
Per-push: pay for what falls
You pay each time we clear the lot. In a mild winter with few events, this can be the cheaper option. In a heavy one, the visits add up.
It suits properties that can tolerate a variable monthly bill and want to pay strictly for service rendered.
So which one?
If a surprise line item on the February invoice would be a problem, go seasonal. If you'd rather gamble on a mild winter and can absorb a busy one, per-push can work.
Whichever you choose, the contract should spell out the trigger depth, salt terms, response window, and how service is documented. That's what protects you when the weather gets ugly.
Common questions
You still pay the monthly fee — that's the trade for predictability, and it covers keeping crews and equipment ready. In a heavy winter, that same fee works strongly in your favour.
Yes. Plenty of clients try one model, see how their property and budget handle it, and adjust the next year. We're happy to talk through what we saw.
